What's this about?

There are more than 10 million people in the UK who currently aren't using the internet. They come from all walks of life – they might be young or old, from the most bustling city or the tiniest hamlet. Whoever they are, they're missing out on the endless opportunities and benefits of being online, from saving money or finding the perfect job to making new friends and streaming music and video. We believe digital living is every bit as important as the stuff you do in real life, and we want everyone to realise how easy digital living can be, on web and mobile.

Most of us know someone who isn't online, or who uses the internet but isn't getting the most out of it. Think of all the things your mate/colleague/auntie is missing out on!

Some people simply don't understand the difference the internet can make to their lives. Others aren't confident enough about the gadgets to give it a go. This is where we – and you – come in. We want you to encourage the people you know to give the internet a whirl.

How you can help

We've created a series of PDF downloads that focus on the various benefits of getting online, and share how digital living can make a difference to the lives of people you know.  You can find these below. Click on the link to view or right-click on it and 'Save link as' to read the file later.

Why not share the benefit guides with people you know who might need a bit of inspiration?

Other things you can do

As well as our resources, there are lots of other tools and tips out there to help people get online. The Go ON website and BBC Webwise site are great places to start.

You can also search ukonlinecentres.com for access to free internet and IT training courses - so if your friend is inspired, they can build their skills and let their digital life begin.
